ABOUT BILL
Bill Mundell served for nine years, 1999-2008, on the Arizona Corporation Commission. As he chaired the Commission, Arizona became one of the first states to require utilities generate a percentage of their electricity from renewable energy sources. Those early decisions laid the groundwork for the enactment of the statewide Renewable Energy Standard Tariff (REST), which was principally authored by Bill Mundell.

Bill ran for Corporation Commission in 2016, despite Pinnacle West (APS' parent company) spending up to $10 million to defeat him. Bill ran as a team with Sandra Kennedy but narrowly lost in the primary. He still wants to return to the Commission to help Sandra Kennedy in stopping the corruption there, fighting unjustified utility rates, and promoting solar energy in Arizona.
